Our visit to the guy behind the music to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Platoon and loads of others… (insert Indiana Jones music hereJ)
There was a falling rock door that I just managed to roll under, grab my tool bag and then ran into…. No of course there wasn’t anything like that. There was no machine gun fire, dodgy German accents, helicopters dropping napalm. Nor did some Scottish freedom fighter appear (my client has also worked on ‘The Last of the Mohicans’). The painter was stripping down the front porch though so it could’ve been quite dicey.
My client Mr Simon Kaye in Harrow hadn’t just decided to call us up without checking up on us. Instead it all started a long long time ago. At least 8 months ago.
I have a good customer who’s a dentist in Edgware (here’s his website http://www.edgwaredentalcare.co.uk/). We’ve done work repairing his boiler in both his practice in Edgware and also his house in Watford. He passed our details on to his mother in Harrow Weald where we did a power flush to prevent her boiler from overheating and also replaced a set of basin taps. She in turn very kindly passed on our details to Mr Kaye who called us to replace some taps as well as 2 of his garden taps. The Kaye’s have a beautiful garden where they grow loads of flowers. 2 of the garden taps were leaking so we decided, after discussing a few options with Mr Kaye that replacing them was the best way to proceed. We turned off the water and wound the new ones in. We also replaced the bath taps, basin taps and finally managed to fit replacement bidet taps. We even installed isolating valves so that if any further work was needed they wouldn’t have to drain the tanks again! The Kaye’s were so happy with our work they wrote us a testimonial which can be found by clicking here or by going to the testimonial page.
